The Addams family tree grew crooked even in the time of their ancestors, yet the family has always stuck together—until the daughter’s marriage plans unexpectedly bring a new prospective son-in-law and his parents into the Addams house. Could the two families possibly be more different? And could the Addams family, just this once, behave normally so that Wednesday can have her fairytale wedding?
“This will be a tantalizing, thrilling, slightly spooky, and even a little moving musical comedy. It shows how to embrace being yourself with courage,” – Tuomas Parkkinen, director
The Addams Family originated as a comic strip by Charles Addams, telling the story of a family inclined toward gloom and macabre themes. Its members live in a mansion surrounded by servants and their ghostly ancestors, completely unfazed by the bewilderment and fear they cause in others. Over time, this proudly unique family has become famous through TV series, movies, video games, merchandise – and now as a fantastically entertaining musical comedy.
